Rocker Rick Springfield now finds himself among other musical icons along the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Springfield received his Walk of Fame star along Hollywood Boulevard in front of the Live Nation building Friday.
The "Jessie's Girl" singer says he owes the fans for his career in show business. He said he walked along the Walk of Fame as a youngster and hoped to one day be successful enough to merit a star. He also dedicated his star in the memory of his father, who Springfield said unfortunately passed away just as Springfield's career was taking off.
Springfield won a Grammy Award for "Jessie's Girl" in 1981. He's sold over 25 million records and had 17 Top 40 hits. Springfield is also well known for his acting performances, including the role of Dr. Noah Drake on the soap opera "General Hospital." He also recently published a fiction book entitled Magnificent Vibration.
