Paul McCartney's upcoming tour now includes a special West Coast date.
The former Beatle is confirming he will headline the final concert at San Francisco's Candlestick Park in August.
Phil Ginsberg, director of the city Recreation and Park Department which operates Candlestick, told "SF Gate" that the stadium got the nod from Paul thanks in part to a personal invitation from San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee.
The mayor asked the rock legend to help say goodbye to the ballpark where he played his last live concert with The Beatles back in 1966.
