The mining disaster in Turkey that has claimed hundreds of lives is forcing Aerosmith to alter their tour plans.
The group called off their Wednesday night concert in Istanbul because of the tragedy. Frontman Steven Tyler explains that the rockers wish to respect "the three days of mourning for a saddened nation." He also sends his "heartfelt prayers" to those personally affected by the tragedy.
The other group members echoed Tyler's sentiment with guitarist Joe Perry adding that "words can't express the sorrow that we feel."
While over 200 people have been confirmed dead, Aerosmith is hoping that those miners still trapped will be "saved soon and be safe and sound."
In the coming week, Aerosmith is slated to play shows in Bulgaria and Lithuania.
